A species is a group of organisms that are similar that can produce more offspring. Speciation is when a population evolves into a more distinct species and the species has to be producing viable offspring that will later reproduce. An example of speciation is when a bird has offspring that evolve and have different features one has a small beak, one has a medium beak, and another one has a large beak. I think that speciation is a complex term because so many different species can have all kinds of differences but that is what makes it so interesting. file:///Users/alissaalumbaugh/Downloads/Scanned%20Documents%20(27).pdf (image will not upload in blogger)
